The assessment includes optimizing existing production capacity (40,000 mt of sodium-process iron phosphate and 60,000 mt of ammonium-process iron phosphate) into 100,000 mt of ammonium-process iron phosphate through three-phase construction: Phase I (Workshop 1: 25,000 mt/year capacity via 1 production line, already accepted), Phase II (Workshop 1: 50,000 mt/year capacity via 2 production lines), and Phase III (Workshop 2: 25,000 mt/year capacity via 1 production line).

[Battery-Grade Iron Phosphate Production from Iron Slag Project Implementation] Tangshan Henkun New Energy Materials Co., Ltd.'s 2025 production capacity plan for 350,000 mt of LFP material is progressing as follows: Jiujiang Tiansheng Plastic Additives Co., Ltd. plans to invest 100 million yuan to construct a battery-grade iron phosphate production project using iron slag within its existing plant in Hukou High-Tech Industrial Park, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province. In accordance with the provisions of the Public Participation Measures for Environmental Impact Assessment (Order No. 4 of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment), the construction unit shall, within 7 days after determining the environmental impact assessment institution responsible for environmental impact assessment work, announce relevant EIA information to the public.

[Anhui High-Performance Iron Phosphate Technological Transformation Project Approved] Recently, the environmental impact assessment for the high-performance iron phosphate technological upgrading project of Tongling Anxuanda New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. was subject to a public notice for proposed approval. The main construction contents include: adding conveying pipelines (for ammonia water, batching, wastewater, reclaimed water, etc.), waste gas pipelines, and synthetic waste (tail) gas absorption devices; upgrading the existing 50,000 mt/a sodium-based iron phosphate production line; introducing ammonium-based iron phosphate production technology to enable the existing production line to possess both sodium-based and ammonium-based iron phosphate production capabilities (the two methods will not operate simultaneously); and no new capacity will be added.

[Guizhou 450,000 mt/a LFP Precursor Project Announced] The 450,000 mt/a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) precursor project in Guizhou has been announced. With a total investment of 4 billion yuan, the project will be constructed in phases: Phase A will have a capacity of 300,000 mt of LFP precursors with 12 production lines, involving an investment of 1.4[1] billion yuan (subject to this EIA); Phase B will have a capacity of 150,000 mt of LFP precursors with 5 production lines, involving an investment of 1 billion yuan (subject to separate EIA).

[Phase I Commissioning of 100,000 mt/a LMFP Cathode Material Project in Shanxi] Phase I of the 100,000 mt/a lithium manganese iron phosphate (LMFP) cathode material project in Shanxi has been commissioned. This project is jointly developed by Qingdao Qianyun High-Tech New Materials Co., Ltd. and Changzhi Gaoxin District Changgao Zhihui Technology.

[18,000 mt Lithium Battery Recycling Project Announced] The public participation information for the environmental impact report of the Hegang scrap lithium battery recycling project has been published for the first time. With a total investment of 120 million yuan, the project will be constructed in two phases: Phase I involves building one scrap lithium battery processing line with an annual capacity of 6,000 mt; Phase II involves building five production lines, including a scrap cathode pole piece processing line and a scrap anode pole piece processing line, with annual processing capacities of 6,000 mt for scrap cathode pole pieces and 6,000 mt for scrap anode pole pieces, respectively.

[MIDR Low-Carbon Recycling Process Pilot Project Launched] Recently, the Administrative Approval Bureau of Jinghai District, Tianjin, published a notice regarding the acceptance of the environmental impact report for the "End-of-Life Lithium Battery MIDR Low-Carbon Recycling Process Pilot Project of Tianjin Meiteng Recycling Resources Co., Ltd." on the official website of the District Government Affairs Service Office. The implementation of this project holds significant importance for the development of circular economy in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. Located in Tianjin Ziya Economic and Technological Development Zone, Tianjin Meiteng Recycling Resources Co., Ltd. plans to invest 3 million yuan to implement the "End-of-Life Lithium Battery MIDR Low-Carbon Recycling Process Pilot Project" within its existing leased plant. This project focuses on the R&D of low-carbon recycling equipment for various types of scrapped NEV LFP batteries, aiming to achieve the separation and recovery of cathode materials (cathode powder and aluminum current collectors). The MIDR low-carbon recycling process (Meiteng Intelligence Direct Recycling) shortens the process flow compared to the conventional chemical wet extraction method widely used in the industry, with lower carbon footprint, higher recycling economic benefits, and significant technical advantages.

[68,000 mt LFP Battery Black Mass Resource Recycling Project to Begin Production] Recently, the Hubei Ruipai Technology annual production of 50,000 mt LFP cathode material project with an investment of 2 billion yuan is expected to commence production. This milestone event signifies the successful establishment of a complete new energy industry chain in Xiangcheng District, spanning from mineral resources and basic materials to battery manufacturing, end-use applications, and ultimately recycling. Located in the Yujiahu Chemical Industrial Park of Xiangcheng Economic Development Zone in Xiangyang City, the project focuses on the harmless treatment and resource recycling of "retired" lithium batteries. Upon completion, it will integrate the entire life cycle value chain of power batteries in Xiangyang, forming an annual recycling capacity of approximately 43,800 mt of LFP battery black mass and an annual production capacity of 25,000 mt of LFP cathode material using recycled iron phosphate and lithium carbonate.
